Your investments now show the full story of how you got from where you started to where you are today: money in, money out, market ups and downs, dividends, and fees. If the numbers don't add up, we show the gap on its own line instead of quietly folding it into your gains. Your return also accounts for when your money went in, and we hold it back until we have 30 days of history to work with.

Bills Now Find Late and Oddly Named Payments (KAN-2864)

Your bills can now spot a payment even when your bank gives it a vague label like "transfer from account," or takes up to two weeks to post a payment you marked as scheduled. If the bank still shows it as pending, the bill simply shows that a payment is on its way; once it posts, Tovari asks you to confirm it's the right one. Nothing gets recorded until you say yes, and you won't end up with the same payment listed twice.

More Bill Payments Match Automatically (KAN-2871)

Bills now match themselves to pending payments at your bank, even when the bank's description never says who you paid or the payment lands a few days late. They show up with the same Matched look as every other matched bill, so there's no second style to decode. We also fixed a slip where changing a late bill's expected date at the last moment could be ignored when you confirmed it.

Sometimes a payment reached your bank under a vague label like "Transfer from account," and Tovari didn't realize it was for your bill, so the bill kept looking unpaid. That one's on us. Now when a payment shows up for the exact amount you expected and nothing else fits, Tovari matches it to your bill or asks you to confirm it.

Right Balance, Even on Payday (KAN-2822)

If you connected a bank account on a busy day, like payday, your balance could show far more money than your bank did, sometimes by a whole paycheck. That's on us, and we're sorry. Now we keep watching for that day's transactions to arrive after you connect and fix your starting balance when they do, so it lines up with your bank.

No More Accidental Second Household (KAN-2823)

Signing in with Apple while hiding your email no longer risks starting a second, empty household when you already have one. That was our mistake: we took your hidden address for a brand-new person and set up a fresh household without asking. Now we ask first, and if you already have an account, we point you to sign in with your email and password so you land in the household you know.

Clearer Errors When Matching Transactions (KAN-2872)

When something went wrong while you were matching two transactions, the app could show you a jumble of technical wording instead of a message that made sense, and that was on us. Now you'll get the same plain, friendly message you see everywhere else in the app. The messages that tell you why two transactions can't be matched are unchanged.

Investments, Now on Your Phone (KAN-2875)

Investing was live in Tovari, but if you opened it in your phone's browser there was no way to get to it, and that one's on us. Now you can tap More, then Investments, and find your overview, holdings and account settings laid out to fit a small screen. If investing isn't turned on for your household, you won't see it there, same as before.

Bills Spot Your Payment After It Posts (KAN-2877)

Some bills kept showing as overdue even though your payment had already landed in your account. Once your bank finished processing certain transfers, it swapped in a wordier description and we stopped recognizing the payment as yours, which is on us. Now we look past the bank's boilerplate and offer to match the payment to your bill, so you can settle it with the payment that's already in your register.

Investments Legend Now Matches the Chart (KAN-2879)

The legend on your Investments chart said deposits are marked when they're "over $500," but a deposit of exactly $500 was getting marked too. That one's on us — the legend now says "$500 or more," so it matches what you see on the chart.

Your Investments, in Your Data Download (KAN-2637)

Your downloadable copy of your data now includes your investments: the holdings in each account, what you paid for them, and the latest price on each one. Until now those numbers were on your screen but not in the file you could take with you, which never sat right with us. We also fixed the note that comes with the download, which used to say every amount was in cents when share prices and unit counts are actually written out exactly.

No More Doubled-Up Bill Payments (KAN-2866)

Some bill payments were getting recorded twice. If you confirmed a match with a card payment your bank lists under a generic card-network label, and another payment for the exact same amount was dated for a later day on that account, Tovari added a second copy instead of attaching the one you picked. That's fixed: it now attaches the payment you chose and leaves the other one alone.
