2026.09.18.1

Tovari 2026.09.18.1 is the release published on Sep 18, 2026. Here’s what changed in it.

Reconnecting a disconnected bank account works again (KAN-2692)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidAccounts & BalancesData Sync

Reconnecting a bank account had stopped working. When you tried to fix an account that needed reconnecting, the app said it could not begin, and there was no way around it. This happened because the app was sending your bank's connection service a request it would not accept. Reconnecting now works again, so you can restore any disconnected account and its balances and transactions will start updating again.

Your Bank’s Balance, Right Beside Ours (KAN-2811)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidAccounts & Balances

Your bank can take a day to send us new activity, and we showed only our own tally with no hint of that, so on payday your checking account could look thousands of dollars short. We should have told you, and now we do: connected accounts show your bank's latest balance and how fresh it is, right under ours. When the two don't match, you'll see a note that recent activity may not have reached us yet.

An Honest Dash, Not a Fake $0.00 (KAN-2812)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidAccounts & BalancesReports & Insights

If your bank never reported a balance for a loan or credit account, like a home equity line you haven't drawn on, we were showing a confident $0.00 and counting it as nothing owed in your net worth. That was our mistake, and it could make your finances look better than they really were. Now you'll see a dash and "Balance not reported by bank" instead, and any total that leaves an account out tells you so.

Out-of-Date Balances Now Say So (KAN-2813)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidAccounts & BalancesData Sync

When the connection to one of your investment accounts stopped working, we kept showing its last known balance as if it were today's, with no warning at all. That was our miss. Now the balance is clearly marked as possibly out of date, with the date it was last updated and a Reconnect button right there, and it still counts toward your totals so nothing quietly disappears.

Moves Between Your Accounts, Now Flagged (KAN-2815)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidReports & InsightsBudgeting

Money you moved between your own accounts could show up in your reports and budget as income or spending, making some months look far richer or pricier than they really were. You weren't imagining it, and now Reports and Budget tell you how many possible transfers are affecting each number and by how much, with a Review button so you can sort them out and stop them counting.

Bank Balance Dates You Can Trust (KAN-2834)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidAccounts & BalancesData Sync

Your bank balance could look freshly checked when the number behind it was actually days old, and that was our mistake. Now the date beside it reflects when the bank's figure was really true, and when we can't tell how old it is, we say so instead of guessing. We also hold off offering to fix a balance difference that rests on a number we can't date.

Cleaner Investments Menus (KAN-2847)

🌐 WebAccounts & Balances

A couple of menus on your Investments page — the tax-treatment picker and the time-period selector — could get clipped or overlap other text when you opened them. We found the glitch and squared them away, so they open cleanly every time now.

Loan And Card Payments Finally Match Their Bills (KAN-2855)

🌐 Web🍎 iOS🤖 AndroidBills & Reoccuring

Bills paid straight into a loan or credit card you've linked to Tovari weren't being recognised. The payment would be sitting right there in your register, and the bill above it still looked unpaid — so your projected balance and Safe to Spend both read lower than they should, and pressing Enter quietly added a second copy of a payment you'd already made. That's fixed. Tovari now recognises those payments like any other, marks the bill as pending or paid, and warns you before you enter anything on top of it. The payment itself still reads exactly as it did in your register and still stays out of your spending totals, because money moving between your own accounts isn't spending.

Clearer Messages When Billing Hiccups (KAN-2838)

🌐 Web📱 iOS & AndroidBilling & Subscriptions

If something goes wrong while you're loading your plan or setting up your payment details, you'll now see a clear, plain-English message instead of confusing technical wording. Nothing about how billing works has changed; it just reads more like a person wrote it when a hiccup does happen.
